Nicholas Cutinha was a true hero! In Vietnam, when his company was ambushed by a North Vietnamese battalion, he didn’t hesitate—he charged straight to the front, taking the fight head-on.
With half of his company killed or wounded, and despite being shot in the leg himself, Cutinha kept firing his M-60 relentlessly. His courage and firepower gave his fellow soldiers the precious time they needed to evacuate the wounded and retreat to safety.
Today, he rests at Fort Denaud Cemetery in Florida, and his Medal of Honor is proudly displayed at American Legion Post 130. Let’s honor and remember the incredible bravery of Nicholas Cutinha—his sacrifice will never be forgotten! 🇺🇸
